Is Nova HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Nova runs on a HIPAA-configured stack, and we sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your practice during onboarding — included in every plan. The demo and discovery phase use only public information, so no patient data is involved until you're a signed client.
Does Nova give medical advice or diagnose patients?
No — and this is by design. Nova is a virtual front desk. It schedules, answers general and practice-specific questions from your approved knowledge base, and routes calls. It never diagnoses, never says "your symptoms sound like…," and performs no triage. Emergencies are directed to 911 and your team.
Does Nova integrate with my EHR/EMR?
Not with a direct database connection today. Nova captures the call and delivers clean summaries, transcripts, and callback details to your staff by email and text, which they act on inside your existing systems. If your practice needs deeper integration, we'll scope it during onboarding.
